I have a neighbor – Major in the Marines, a major MA in Computer Science and he, as I, cannot download the DVD External Slimline on my computer. I have no way of finding out directions from the source or from Amazon. Will I order again equipment? No.

I have a brand new HP mini with Windows 7.
Pros:
1. Computer recognized CD/DVD driver right away.
2. Sound is perfect.
3. Video is perfect.
4. Does not make any disk-running noises
5. Lightweight and slim
6. Responsive when I click to open it
Cons:
1. Requires 2 USB outlets – I don’t really have a big problem with this, but it does force me to put my mouse on the left hand side when it’s running.
2. Media player required me to change the region so that I can play the disk, but it automatically brings up the pop-up so that I can fix the problem, which took 2 seconds.
I would definitely recommend it!

If you have Windows 7 do not buy this..This much like many other games, programs, hardware and such does not work..It half a@@ed played a dvd..The installation cd did not work inside the player at all just kept giving me an error… finally got it to install quake four then played a bit and closed the game then black screen appeared and when I restarted Windows it had chosen to ignore this player due to errors.. Can not seem to find the drivers for this giant waste of money anywhere because there is no manufacturer name anywhere on anything that came in the package..
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!

no installation needed for my ph mini 210 window 7 starter. I just plugged the usp in and and it automatically connected and I installed Microsoft word program without a program.

Worked first time without installation procedures. It is compact and very easy to use. Sure I wish it did not need USB power but the option of an AC plug is much less desireable.
It is excellent, especially for the price.
