    The battery is slightly higher than the original battery. It fit in my notebook (2006 model), but it was so high that it blocked the button of my touchpad, and the mouse did not work any more. I had to return the battery and get an original battery from Apple.

    I just recieved my battery from accessory power. I charged it all the way up as was directed. I am looking at my istat program, and the battery health says 100% and has one cyle. So the battery is definately brand new. It says I am going to get around 4 hours on the battery. So far it works great and is a perfect fit. The only downside to the battery is the led charge indicator on the battery does not work. But, I’m willing to sacrifice that feature because this battery was half the price of the Apple battery. So, this battery is a great buy.

    I was quite hesitant to buy this battery due to another customer’s review stating that it rendered his mousepad unusable on his 2006 MacBook Pro. However, after scouring the internet for another suitable (cheap) battery, I thought I’d chance it on this one.

    I’m glad I did.

    The battery fits perfectly in my 2006 MacBook Pro. The finish on the battery is similar, but not the same as my computer’s finish, but I don’t care, it’s close enough and it’s on the bottom. The indicator lights don’t seem to work, but I never used those before (again, it’s on the bottom…). After charging the battery and draining it once, my Mac tells me a full charge will last >3.5 hours, which is pretty accurate. I know it lasted over 3 hours of me surfing the web constantly.

    **I bought this battery for $55 on July 12, 2010. The price has since increased. If you’re willing to spend that much money, I cannot tell you if there are better alternatives around, because I was looking in the $50-60 range for mine.

    Fits 2007 Macbook Pro 15″ perfectly. Gets about 3 hours after initial charge. So far so good.

    The battery is excellent so far. The battery life Is like a new battery. The construction is alright. The case is all plastic so you loose the nice metal look and feel of the original battery. But since it goes on the bottom it isn’t a big deal.
