Bought this to replace the battery in my wife’s laptop. This battery arrived quickly and is a third party unit. This wasn’t clear when I bought it, but I am not complaining at the price! Had it for a couple of weeks now and she is routinely getting 2.5 hours of battery runtime, which is much better than the 1 hour with the old battery.

I ordered a new battery. But when it arrived except for the USPS battey packing,the product has no packing. That aroused my suspicion because other batteries I bought were packed with materials that convinced me they were new. My suspicion was confirmed when the battery lasted only one hour. It has less life than the battery I was replacing. In future I just have to research the the vendors or buy them locally. Amazon has to do a better job in weeding out these unscrupulous vendors. I am very concerned because I am a stockholder of Amazon.
