    this one is better that my old one who lasted only 5 months . i dont know yet how long this one will last but it seems to be a better quality .time will tell.

    Get a real Toshiba power adapter instead, which I am doing after a year with this one. Causes RF interference with all TVs in the house, case came unglued and had to be taped shut, rubber on cord exit from adapter is broken, tape will not fix. Obviously this adapter does not meet UL or Toshiba specs. There is no UL approval stamp on it. Should not be allowed to be imported. The writing on it even says hilariously truthfully, “This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.” Pay the extra for a real Toshiba adapter that will last ten years. You will curse this one for the year it barely works for you, until you throw it out, as I am doing now with mine.
