Not even as good as the battery it replaced. Does not hold charge well, and runs out within 1.5 hours.

The battery works alright. Doesn’t seem to last very long though. Better than my old one but I only get about an hour and then have to plug it in.

Purchased this battery a month ago and it does the job as expected.
I am using it with my Toshiba portege m500 laptop. Windows XP and
Fedora 12 are installed on this laptop.
To quantify the performance of the battery, I booted Fedora 12 and
started Firefox browser with a single tab open and started browsing
yahoo and some news sites. In 20 minutes the battery drained from
100% to 85%, which I think is OK. This is after a month of usage.

Was a little skeptical at first, but went ahead and bought this to replace my battery that no longer held a charge. Works so far the first day – took a charge, have it off the AC outlet now for about 1.5 hours and still have 77% remaining.
When it first came, I compared it to the original, the volts were the same, but the mAh was slightly different. Lower on this battery than Toshiba’s, but honestly, for a cheap battery replacement like this one, I’m not complaining if there’s a little less time I can use it versus the original.
I would buy this again

I bought this generic laptop battery for my 3 1/2 year old Toshiba U205-S5022 computer. I had already replaced the battery once before with a Toshiba brand battery, but it didn’t last any longer than the original. So, I decided to try a generic one to see if it would work as well. So far, so good. It has actually held longer than the name-brand ones that I’ve had. Why would someone pay more to have Toshiba stamped on the battery when the generic one works as well and doesn’t destroy your computer?
