    Product does what it’s suppose to. Wanted an HDMI solution so I could get audio and video to my monitor through a single cable — whic this product does. However, and it’s probably no fault of the product itself, I notice that I get better visual clarity using the Apple Branded MiniDisplayPort to VGA converter than I do using HDMI.

    Again, it may not be any fault of this product, I just thought I’d get at least as good, if not better visual clarity using a digital cable.

    This is the adapter you want! It will pass audio for your new 2010 macbook(Congrats on the fine purchase btw) every single time without fail. I used another product that worked intermittently before so I ordered this one and it WORKS! No more having to jiggle with the cable or keep plugging and unplugging hoping to see the TV’s speakers show up. Get this one!

    Small adapter and snug fit. Video and audio works on new unibody Macbook pro connected to an older Philips flat screen.

    Item worked great with my new 2010 Macbook Pro 15″. I got both Video and Audio through my mini displayport to my HD TV. I had to do what the other reviewer said and set playback audio to play through my TV in “Preferences.”
