The first unit, I opened up the box, flipped it on and it made a horrible machine gun rattling noise on printer alignment. Called up HP and they told me that they would send me out a product that would be marked refurbished. I paid for a new item, and refused to do that. So, instead I ordered another one figuring the first was a fluke. Well, I use an HP Netbook, so Im all excited. I power up the second unit received, and thank god no noise. Now the fun part, I run the software and it installs properly. Now I try to do a scan from the printer which is hooked up wirelessly thru the verizon network im on. It found my network okay. Not the problem. It stays stuck in the scan preview. After 25 minutes still no scan, from the printer. Now I try again and it says to initiate the scan from the computer. Well if I wanted to do that why bother with a wireless. Now I install the software on my netbook and the unit doesnt see my netbook at all only my desktop which it cant communicate with. Now I try connecting it with the USB and uninstall and reinstall the software telling it im connected with USB, still scan not working. Call HP they tell me no way to turn off the scan preview. Yet if we start scan from computer it scans on the machine..great. Then I have intermittent error all over this thing from scanning to creating a pdf. I have had a lot of products before, never has this an item given me this much trouble. Good luck if you buy one. I hope you have better luck than me…Im not going to buy another one. Im done, HP shame on you and your quality control team for releasing such a horrible product.

Purchased HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer on 11/5, arrived 11/12 not working. After numerous attempts problem solving the error displayed through the online and telephone support, I was told that the print heads and ink would need to be replaced. These products would be shipped by ground service, this is what the warrenty on my BRAND NEW printer covered. Six days later, HP is finally sending the parts. 11/23… no parts, still waiting. My rating is based on the support I received and the time I have lost, as I am still unable to rate how this machine works d/t it’s broken state. Good luck.

This is an incredible printer from the folks at HP, my favorite printer company. This is loaded with cool features like touchscreen and being wireless web-enabled. The one drawback for some might be the high price tag. The printer is easy to set up and use. And the prints in produces are of very high quality. I will update my review as I use the printer some more. All my printers except for one has been HP’s. I like this because it fax capability, no more having to having to fax papers at the printing store up the street, that will save me a lot of money there. This is one great printer!

Honestly … someone should be fired at the packing facility! This item was returned twice due to the packing problems. And guess what ? The new/exchanged item is sent to me with the same exact problems as the original shipments: packaging consisted solely of a few pieces of folded paper layed flat around the computer printer. Completely inappropriate for an elctronic item. Should have bubble wrap and pellets. If AMAZON can wrap books in bubble wrap, why not electronic equipment ? Also, boxes were not sealed with tape, and arrived wide open – twice. Somebody must have been asleep on the job to let these packages go out this way … way too obvious to miss thru normal inspection/observation !
Frankly, it seems intentional ! Now I’m worried that the printer I finally accepted may be damaged in a way that is not immediately apparent to a new user/owner of the printer .. all because of negligent packing/shipping by AMAZON.

Clearly software developed off-shore (buggy and not well thought out). Fax functions not well thought out at all to say the least. This printer is “SLOW” regardless of what the HP claims. It is unbelievable that they would go to market with something that is half finished. As a result I won’t purchase another HP product and neither will my company. HP needs to TEST your stuff first, and not only in India.
