i bouth that laptop a 6 weeks ago, it says that the battery last for 9 hours,in reality it doesnt give you more than one hour, and when is fully charged and you dont use it for a few day the charge drops to less than half hour and now when you try to use it it gives you about 15 minutes,it sucks big time.i am returning that piece of junk.

This is my first “fancy buy” for myself. I usually treat my husband or my kids. I love it. It is not too small not too big, not too heavy. The only thing actually is that it gets hot really fast so when you are on your bed sitting with it on your legs, it is better to be under the blanket. I could use something faster but I am never happy with that, it actually is pretty fast. There is a ton of things we can do with it, I have only used a very tiny litte piece of it, Words for some work, games and internet, but I am amazed with every new thing that I find on it. What I have seen of Windows 7 was really cool too. I really like the fact that I can go literally anywhere in the house with it. My daughter loves it too. It keeps peace in the house. Daddy can have his family pc and my daughter and I share the little one. I cannot recommend for anything technical because I am clueless with that

This will be a shorter review for me.
My wife has a 17″, 11 lb. laptop that she started to loathe bringing to class or out of town due to the size and weight. I looked around and decided to try a Netbook due to the 10″ size, 3 lb. weight, and long battery life.
The good:
The battery life is actually good and once charged it has held it’s charge for a long time.
The ok:
The HP Quickstart screen loads fast but you can not get on the internet instantly unless you are wired to the internet. Wireless takes about 10 seconds to load (not that 10 seconds is a long wait time). If the internet is clicked before that the “No internet connection found” screen will appear with the internet loading a few seconds later.
The bad:
I bought this for mainly surfing the web and bringing out of town. The problem is that the screen is so small that every web page that loads only shows a partial screen (like loading a webpage on a cell phone). That really annoys me since I would have rather paid an extra $100 for a 13.1″ laptop that showed an entire page.
My advice: if you want it to keep your photos or music directory, you have a good investment. Should you need it for small computing tasks or a small program, it will preform well. The unit does not appear to run very hot and the Windows 7 Starter is a decent operating system for this device. If this is mainly for surfing the net, consider how much you would enjoy side scrolling every web page to see if it’s worth it. For me…it’s not.
