This case/shell fits my Acer Aspire One D250 perfectly. Note the brand and model number before buying! The case looks very specifically designed, as there are perfectly shaped holes in the bottom plate to allow for air flow to the fans.
As another reviewer pointed out, the instructions are completely wrong, but, hopefully you can figure out how to snap a piece of plastic into place. Ain’t rocket science. Honestly the instructions probably shouldn’t have even been included, as they seem to cause more trouble than help.
I picked out the pretty blue color because it was…pretty and blue. Unfortunately, I did not look close enough at the pictures provided. The blue, pink, and red cases are actually semi-transparent. This is not immediately obvious because they are shown on a WHITE Netbook. So, the pretty blue color does not show very well on my BLACK Aspire One. I’ll pick on the company a bit for posting misleading photos, but ultimately it’s my own fault.
I bought this in order to protect my Netbook, as it was already seeing scuff marks from going in and out of my backpack so much. So, no loss in functionality. Only in vanity. Speaking of vanity, the case was already ever-so-slightly scuffed when I received it. Not a big deal, but it’s probably a sign that it will accumulate scratches quickly. If this is a problem for you, then you might want to look into a leather-type Netbook case instead.
Bottom line:
PROS: Good case, perfect fit.
CONS: Will probably scratch easily. Black Netbook users be advised that it is TRANSPARENT.

I thought this laptop cover was soft. Instead, it was hard plastic and too big for my Acer laptop. I can’t see this protecting my computer if the case is hard and can crack or a piece break off.

First off, the customer service was fantastic. The company contacted me, because they were going to be late shipping my order. They had sold out of the current run before they were able to ship mine. They offered to ship me a second case for free to make up for the delay. The person I talked to was very nice, and very helpful.
The product was good. It wasn’t as solid as I expected it to be, but it is injected molded plastic, so it seems fairly rugged. It seems as though its going to scratch fairly easily, but not as easily as the Eee itself. Besides, for the price, I’d rather buy one of these, have it get all scratched up, and replace it than have my Eee scratched all up. Overall, it does exactly what it was designed to do.
One last note, be careful when buying this. This case is for the Eee PC 1005H, and the 1005HA as well, i believe. There’s a chance it may fit other 10″ Eee’s, but Asus has changed the designs, even in the same series. I wouldn’t recommend buying one of these for use on the other Eee models unless you’re sure it’s going to fit.

After receiving my bubble hard shell cover today, I opened the box, eager to install it. My first recommendation is to completely ignore the orientation depicted in the instruction sheet. It shows “HardCandy” (printed on the top/monitor) in cursive as being positioned on the top edge of the monitor, as opposed to the hinges. After attempting to “honor” the instructions, with absolutely no success, I gave up. I then enlisted the help of my 17 year-old, who simply flipped around lid cover and wella! Basically, the rounded edges hug the top corners of the lid and the clips to the left and right snap around the bottom edge of the lid, nearest the hinges. Conversely, installing the bottom cover was trouble-free! What folks also need to realize is the covers are both glossy and prone to smudges (really no big deal though). Other than the initial installation snafu’s, I am quite happy with a little additional protection for the original laptop case. One more thing you need know about is that the cutouts for the vents on the bottom are first rate! Overall, I recommend this item for those who want to add a little extra protection for their AcerOne D250 netbook.
