This product helps cut the glare some, and for me, it is enough. If you do a lot of computing with dark backgrounds or watch videos in bright places, then you might be disappointed. But for most everyday computing, it helps enough, provides protection, and almost no distortion.
Pros: I can’t tell it is is on the screen. It is cut perfectly — with a hole for the camera — and everything is still clear. Installation was not too bad. Just make sure the screen is clean, and I recommend installing in the bathroom. First run the shower, open the door a few minutes, then install the film. The shower helps to eliminate dust. You can use scotch tape to remove any dust particles, but I found I did not have to do even that. Air bubbles easily smooth out.
Cons: There is still some glare, and it’s not as good as a matte screen (although overall the macbook pro screen is much brighter and sharper than my 2008 matte white macbook). For some, it may not be enough anti-glare reduction. However, I suspect the ones that do better with glare also distort and darken the screen more. This has almost no distortion or darkening. I can’t really notice.
Expensive for a piece of plastic, but they’re all about this price.
