I didn’t like the product as much as i thought i would. It was slow in booting and starting apps which was frustrating to me since i am impatient and i’m used to having things run faster in my other laptop. I got this mainly because of the advertised 11.5 hrs running time. I would probably never use it again after the first few uses and i will just sell it. However, i still think it is rather good. I mean it’s not really bad!

I purchased and returned this laptop to Amazon, taking a 15 percent restocking fee hit. So, I obviously was not satisfied with my purchase. First, I will list the positive aspects:
The Positives: 1. Lightweight 2. Long Battery Life 3. Not much unnecessary software pre-installed 4. Nice Style 5. Restore disks included.
The Negatives:
1. I returned the laptop largely due to the inferior speakers when I compare it to my 4 year old HP laptop. The speakers sound similar to an iPhone. I find this completely unacceptable considering the price point of this laptop.
2. The quality of the display also was inferior to my old HP laptop. The screen seems washed-out to me.
So, in the end, I purchased another HP laptop with a Blu-ray drive that met my expectations.

Try one of these in person before buying! The keyboard and track pad are offset to the left to make room for the numberpad, making it awkward to use. The keys also have a cheap feel to them, which is kind of a distraction when trying to work. The result is that I avoid using this computer unless it’s the only one available. Battery life is good, but it’s too heavy to take everywhere, so it mostly stays plugged in anyway. Device driver support for linux is weak at best.
I had trouble making the recovery media, and when I called tech support they were very unhelpful and wanted to charge me $30 for the discs I was missing.

It is a nice thin lightweight laptop with plenty of processing power and it looks good. I bought it to play games on and it works. I would have liked Bluetooth and the screen doesn’t have the best viewing angles. So it’s not the perfect laptop but I would have no hesitations recommending the computer to anyone.

After doing a good amount of research, I found this laptop to be a good overall product for a reasonable price.
The processor speed, memory capacity and functionality makes it great for students and those who are fairly mobile. The hardware is of good quality and I have recently noticed ASUS has been rated at the top of the market for their PCs/laptops.
Though I hate to spend money, I also like to have tools that to the job without hassles. So, I usually bet on getting a new laptop every 3-4 years due to changes in technology and software and I think this model will be more than sufficient.
Don’t just trust me, do your own research, compare, talk to people who know computers well, consider what you are looking for and give this laptop a chance. I think you will find it to be hard to beat if you want a good laptop for a reasonable price.
