I purchased this battery for my Acer D250 as my original was fizzling out. I conditioned the battery as recommended, and haven’t timed it but I definitely get 8+ hours without recharging. It does make it heavier and makes it a bit more awkward for packing around, however this is definitely outweighed by the added run-time it delivers. The slight elevation makes typing easier (whether sitting on a hard surface or on your lap) and allows the unit to breathe. Very satisfied with the purchase. Delivery was quick.

Bought this to replace the wimpy 3-cell that came with my netbook.
After fully charging (be careful to do this several times, giving it at least 12 hours with each charge), it’s able to power my Acer Aspire One for 10 hours. Outstanding for portable use; I no longer cart the power supply and cord along, except on very extended outings.
The size of the battery is both a plus and a minus. Its bulk raises the back end of the netbook at a perfect angle for me–a big plus. But its bulk also means that the neoprene “sleeve” I bought for the computer is useless, since it won’t stretch over the protruding battery in the back.
For anyone who wants all-day portable computing, this is a no-brainer.
