There’s a video on facebook that goes into the details of how to install this ram in the Acer Aspire 1. Basically I had to remove about 13 screws, unplug 3 cables, pry tight fitting plastic parts (incl keyboard) apart, and be lucky to get to the point where I could install the RAM. But, it’s in and works fine.

this is the maximum ram upgrade one can do for the acer aspire one. the manufacture max is 1.5 gb of ram and 512mb is on board – unchangeable. by doing this upgrade you are VOIDING your manufacture’s warranty for the netbook. installation is easy once you disassemble the netbook completely. this is not for the faint of heart since pratically every screw needs to come off the machine. there is a youtube video somewhere that shows it, easily googled for as well as instructions. all you have to do afterwards is flash the bios by hitting f2 in the boot, see that it’s recognized and you’re all done. it does make things run a bit smoother as adding more ram usually does. well worth the 21 bucks total i spent to get this.
